These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PatentJuris — a platform for patent document preparation, translation, and filing support for USPTO, EPO, and UKIPO applications. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. What PatentJuris is — and isn't

PatentJuris prepares, translates, and organizes patent-related documents based on the information and instructions you provide. PatentJuris is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you before any patent office. For questions about patentability, filing strategy, or legal rights, consult a qualified patent attorney or patent agent licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. Company and law firm accounts are responsible for the actions of team members they invite.

3. Orders, pricing, and payment

• Prices shown at checkout are determined by our current pricing rules at the time of order.
• Orders move into processing automatically once a payment is confirmed — either instantly (card/PayPal) or after our team verifies a manually submitted payment.
• You are responsible for any fees charged by your chosen payment method or its provider.
• Refunds and cancellations are handled according to our Refund Policy.

4. Your content and documents

You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload. You grant PatentJuris a limited license to use that content solely to prepare, translate, and deliver your order. You confirm that you have the right to submit the materials you upload and that doing so doesn't infringe a third party's rights.

5. Translation accuracy

Translation services combine machine translation technology with our processing workflow. While we take care to preserve formatting and meaning, patent filings often require review by a qualified professional before submission to a patent office — PatentJuris does not guarantee that a translated or prepared document will be accepted by any specific patent office without further review.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing content.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
• Use the platform to file or prepare documents on behalf of a third party without authorization to do so.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or fraudulent activity. You may close your account at any time; open orders will be handled per our Refund Policy.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, PatentJuris is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including missed filing deadlines, patent office rejections, or translation inaccuracies — always have time-sensitive or legally significant filings reviewed by a qualified professional. 9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
