# Document Submission Checklist

*PatentJuris Checklist — this is a PatentJuris-created working document
and is not an official form of any patent office.*

## Before you upload documents to your order

- [ ] File is in a supported format (PDF, DOCX, TXT, PNG, or JPG).
- [ ] File size is reasonable (large scanned files may need to be
      compressed or split).
- [ ] File name clearly identifies its content (e.g.
      `specification-draft-v2.pdf`, not `scan001.pdf`).
- [ ] Document is complete — no missing pages.
- [ ] Any handwritten or scanned material is legible.

## What to include

- [ ] Draft specification, claims, and abstract (if you have them).
- [ ] Drawings or sketches, even rough ones.
- [ ] Inventor Information Sheet(s).
- [ ] Priority Information Sheet, if claiming priority from an earlier
      filing.
- [ ] Any prior art you're aware of that's relevant to disclosure
      obligations.

## After uploading

- [ ] Confirm every file you intended to upload appears in your order's
      document list.
- [ ] Note any documents still outstanding in your order description or
a follow-up message, so staff know what to expect.
