# Abstract Template

*PatentJuris Template — this is a PatentJuris-created working document and
is not an official form of any patent office.*

## Guidance

- Most offices expect roughly 50–150 words (check your target office's
  current limit before finalizing).
- State what the invention is and what problem it solves, in plain
language — the abstract is a summary for search and classification, not
  a legal claim.
- Avoid marketing language ("revolutionary," "best-in-class") and avoid
  legal claim language ("comprising," "wherein").
- Do not include information that isn't in the specification.

## Draft

> [Invention name/type] that [what it does / what problem it solves] by
> [how it works, in one or two sentences]. [Optional: a notable
> advantage or use case.]

## Checklist

- [ ] Within the target office's word/character limit.
- [ ] Understandable on its own, without reading the full specification.
- [ ] Consistent with the terminology used in the specification and claims.
